  • Welcome!

Thank you so much to all my wonderful clients over the past 7 years. My family has recently moved out of state and as a result I have closed my photography business in Lancaster.

supporting local small businesses

Hi everyone!  I need your help with something.  I love the idea of supporting local small businesses – and I want to try and do what I can to promote them.  I’d love to feature different small businesses on my blog…show pictures of their work, and an even an interview with the owner/designer.   If you know of anyone in Lancaster County who has started a small business and sells a product that you think people need to know about, I’d love for you to let me know!  I’m looking to promote businesses that meet these criteria:

1)  based in Lancaster County

2) offers a product that is creative and preferably handmade

3) high quality

4) has been in business at least 1 year

5) has a website and/or blog where they sell their items

Thanks! You can leave a comment on this post, on my Facebook page, or send me an email at

I had a great time playing in the grass and climbing on rocks with this family.  It had been a while since I’d seen them and I just can’t believe how big the kids are getting!   One of my favorite things about doing family sessions is watching how the family members interact with each other.  I just love being able to have captured forever the smiles, laughter and connections that so rarely get caught on camera.   This family is certainly a joy to be around – there is such a sense of love, fun, and caring between them.   They are the reason I love what I do!

Awesome images… I especially love the one of the little dude with the super green grass behind him! Nice work. =)

May Mini Sessions are here!

On Saturday, May 15th, I will be doing a day of mini sessions at a lovely outdoor location.  Mini sessions are short 20 minute sessions, perfect for those of you who can’t afford, or don’t need a full session – but still want beautiful portraits.   As an added bonus, I am giving a $25 print credit as well!   You will get 5-10 professionally edited images on an online gallery.  Do not wait, I can only take the 1st 8 people to contact me!  To reserve your session, contact me at or by phone at 717-341-5088

All prints and products can be purchased at regular CB Portraits pricing.  Print prices start at: 5×7 and smaller – $20, 8×10 – $35.  Don’t forget my everyday Referral Special:  For every person you refer that books a session, you receive a $25 print credit.  So start spreading the word!

Here are a few pictures from the portrait location.  And, of course, it will be much more green and colorful in May!

Oh, and I almost forgot!  The winner of the contest is entry #20 – Carla Andrews!  She wins a free mini session and a free 8×10!

Congratulations Carla!

I know exactly where this is! I rode bareback on a horse through this field before it was landscaped with my best friend (it is her parent’s property) when I was in elementary school. And, this is where Nick and I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. It will be beautiful in may!
