I’m really glad you are here! I wanted to share more about who I am.
I do photography part time. My full time job right now is being a mommy. I’m a wife to an incredible husband, and mama to 4 beautiful children (10, 7, 4, 1.5 yrs). Most of my days are spent playing with baby dolls, wiping crumbs, helping with homework, and feeding hungry bellies. It is the hardest, yet most amazing job I have ever had.
If you would have asked me in my younger years what I wanted to be, a photographer would never have made the list. But, once I was introduced to it, I was hooked. I actually have this problem where I never do anything half-hearted. It is either all or nothing, and I will spend whatever time it takes to do it the best I can. (Here’s an example for you. A few years ago, I was determined to learn to knit. So driving to vacation one year, I spent the entire 7 hour car ride pouring over knitting books, trying to figure out how to knit. I about drove myself crazy with frustration, but I did figure it out!).
It was pretty similar with photography. Once I picked up my first ‘pro’ camera, I quickly realized how much more there was to photography than just lining up your subject and pushing the button. There was a whole world of manipulating light, aperture, shutter speed, composition etc. that I knew nothing about. The past 5 years have been a journey where I have grown tremendously and still have so much to learn.
My passion in photography is newborns. Although, they are perhaps the most difficult subject to photography, I feel so blessed to be able to capture the miracle of a new life.
My goal for every session is to give you an experience that is positive, stress-free and even fun! I know how to make your children open up and give me genuine smiles. I know how to pose your newborn so that she is safe, comfortable and peaceful. I will guide you in the process from what to wear, all the way to creating a beautiful display for your walls.
